In that series of posts, we've been discussing specialness and more particularly religious specialness since it is becoming a commonplace kind in the Class community. Like all kinds of specialness, religious specialness is a security of the vanity (against the opposite). It retains the separation in your head as the religious reason behind differences. In that fifth report, we're going to create the debate around to idols because it is intended in A Course in Miracles (ACIM).

Idol could be the mark of the alternative of the confidence for the correct Self or lord; a fake opinion that there might be anything other than, or more than God, and thus split from Him, a belief which is then estimated onto the particular connection: persons, points or a few ideas (Glossary-Index for A Class in Wonders, Kindle spot 550).
Here is the answer to every issue that'll encounter you. In this world, you imagine you are sustained by everything but God. Your religion is placed in the most unimportant and outrageous designs; supplements, money, influence, prestige, being liked, understanding the "right" people, and an endless list of forms of nothingness that you endow with magical powers. All these exact things are your replacements for the Enjoy of Lord (Lesson 50).
